Jonathan Rogers appointed as Director
Harrisons are pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Rogers as a Director to the firm. Jonathan follows Adrian Cox, both of whom are the sons of Harrisons’ founders Douglas Rogers and Brian Cox, hence maintaining the long term continuity of the business which has now been providing clients with the full spectrum of property and development consultancy services for over 32 years.
Despite “Brexit” Harrisons’ remain optimistic about the future property and development market within Kent, particularly with strategic developments such as Ebbsfleet and Paramount progressing. Harrisons are therefore currently seeking additional surveying staff, with a view to further expansion over the coming months to provide extra capacity for new development related instructions.
Harrisons are currently involved in a number of residential development schemes across the County in Thanet, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Maidstone, Medway and Ebbsfleet and there are now positive signs of new commercial developments moving ahead.
Jonathan commented, “We have seen a recent shortage of available commercial property space, with many older properties being converted or redeveloped into residential uses and most available developable land being allocated to residential to meet local authorities’ housing targets. However, we are now seeing positive signs of new commercial development growth in Kent, helping to reverse this recent trend.”
Harrisons are currently in negotiations with occupiers / developers on new build commercial schemes at Fulcrum Business Park and the latest phase of Eurolink in Sittingbourne. These have the potential to supply a further 635,000 sq. feet (59,000 sq. metres) of business space to the Kent property market, providing sought after strategically located business accommodation for new and expanding companies and additional employment for the Kent economy.
