Harrisons are pleased to announce a successful letting of a Development Opportunity in Tunbridge Wells, Kent

The former hospital is set back to the south of Church Road in an elevated position overlooking the substantial houses to the west and on to the Common.

The building is constructed with basement, ground, first and second floors and is roughly T shaped comprising a mix of neo classical and neo gothic styles.  The building was purchased in 1902 for use as the town’s homeopathic hospital.  A new wing was added in 1921 and further extensions added in 1930.

The total site comprises approximately 0.60 acres (0.28 ha) including access, drive and parking to the front. There is a large garden with separate rear access over a private road to Rosehill Walk at the rear and, at a lower level to the west, facing the Common and fronting the Inner London Road, an area of garden which formerly contained a dwelling demolished in 1932.

The site was sold to a residential developer for conversion into flats.
